Apple’s new operating system — iOS7 — launched in September for iPads and iPhones. The leading features of this operating system have since been covered at length. Entrepreneur magazine recently highlighted some of the smaller tricks and tips which will make using this system a lot more enjoyable.
Text info
You receive dozens of text messages daily. It’s not easy to keep track of them. But iOS7 provides you with a simple way to find out when any text message was delivered. The trick? Once the text message you want more details about is on the screen, simple swipe from right to left. This will retrieve the exact time at which your text messages were posted.
Not just a compass
You probably are aware that the mobile version of iOS7 comes with its own compass app, a handy tool if you’re lost, for sure. But did you know that you can also use this app to make sure that bedroom shelf you’re hanging is level? That’s right: The compass app also doubles as a level. Just swipe over one screen once you have opened the compass app and your level will show up.
A new search
Apple’s Search feature has changed. To begin with, as Entrepreneur notes, the company now calls it “Spotlight.” Secondly, to open it simply swipe down in the middle of your home screen. This will bring up a search — or “spotlight” — box. You can search for everything from texts and e-mail messages to apps, songs and contacts.
