Poor Microsoft. The company has already been struggling with the bomb that is Windows 8. And now, determined by PC services company Soluto, the 13-inch MacBook Pro, manufactured by chief rival Apple, has become the best-performing Windows laptop. Ouch.
The Report
Tech Web site CNET recently reported on Soluto’s findings. The company performed what it terms “frustration analytics” on laptops that run Windows software. Established PC makers were found lacking by the MacBook Pro.
As Advertised
As CNET states, every Windows installation on the MacBook Pro is clean. They software runs as it was made to run. And crashes are uncommon. Soluto even identifies other, traditional PC makers as installing too much “crapware” on their laptops.
Fewer Crashes
Crashes are a too-frequent problem on many Windows laptops. Not so on the MacBook Pro. According to the Soluto analysis, Windows programs installed on the MacBok Pro crashed less often than they did on laptops manufactured by such PC stalwarts as Dell and Acer. Is this another embarrassment to Microsoft? You bet.
